This proposed expansion will have a significant effect on noise, traffic and air quality pollution to all the surrounding areas and in particular, Slip End as we are under the flight path. We need triple glazing fitted to entire property to combat noise. How can you justify the carbon footprint of all these extra flights? Noise pollution could decimate house values, this proposal was not in place when we bought the house, therefore we cannot be blamed for buying here in the first place, it was a small regional airport when we first moved here. Road congestion in surrounding areas could be immense. It is very busy already in peak season. How will you stop passengers parking in residential streets in surrounding areas to avoid the costly parking fees? This is already a problem here, taxis are frequently seen taking passengers luggage from parked cars, blocking residents ability to park and in my case blocking my drive entrance on two occasions. You state your proposals to make 'greener' airport facilities/buildings and landscaping but the planes themselves are causing a huge amount of the pollution .ie. jet fuel vapour and noise! No mention of improvements to the aircraft themselves.
