The sincere desire I have seen by the organisation to minimise and mitigate the environmental effects of the proposed growth by putting forward a unique Green Controlled Growth framework that will set independently-monitored limits for each of the four main scalable impacts (of noise, carbon emissions, surface access and air quality) beyond which growth cannot take place clearly sets a precedent for growth within the sector which can more closely align to the enviromental objectives of the local authority, the increase in employment opportunities will enable Luton to continue to be a powerhouse local economy providing opportunities for people seeking work at varuous levels/stages within their careers. The recently opened DART shuttle link to the airport provides a direct link from airport to London in c30 mins, the stage is well and truly set to develop this unique transport hub to meet the growing needs of the surrounding areas
