I'm basically concerned about the expansion plans , the extra noise & pollution and general lack of concern for peoples health & the environment & feel the need to protest against Luton council & Lton Rising. My problem isn't the expansion of the airport, although I'm sure it will be. I have lived in Cutenhoe road for 25 years & aim to continue doing so. The problem is the wide paths on take off & landing. I understand that aircraft try to use the oncoming wind direction but the noise & dirt pollution has become immense recently. 1 - Aircraft are not staying on the orientation of the runway and are now coming right near & sometimes over my property. This is something that never used to occur with the regularity that it does now. 2 - The noise is sufficient to drown out conversations with my neighbours or guests, ruin watching TV & listen to the radio or music and generally make life difficult. 3 - Landing aircraft are lower in altitude & drop particles from their engines and even kick up dust during dry periods so much so that I can't hang light or white clothing out to dry. Heatwaves are a real problem, we can't keep our doors & windows closed as in the colder months. 4 - I have installed triple glazing a few years ago at the rear of my property and taken up the councils' grant to have soundproofing assistance at the front. This has been nullified by the aircraft being closer now. 5 - I have noticed that the noise monitor at the top of my road has been removed so monitoring only starts when aircraft are outside the Luton area. I find this dishonest & underhand. 6 - A monitor at the lower end of Cutenhoe Road/Park street will show the full extent of our misery as our noise apps( allowing 5-10% for readings errors) still show 75 to 85 decibels. 7 - I recognise that the airport was here first but originally they followed the runway orientation & along the side of the South Luton ring road before crossing over the corner of the Luton Hoo estate and on to their destinations I hope that you will take my complaint seriously, as I have noticed my neighbours & other people from our area attending some of the anti expansion meetings so I'm not the only one with concerns.
