I reject the planning application due to the noise pollution and the impact this has on my health. There is historical negligence in maintaining these noise levels (2019 official records ranged from 69dB to 75.7dB). It disturbs daytime activities in the garden, in my house, and at nighttime it disturbs my sleep. the will massively impact my health and my family's health. I reject the planning application because of a rise in air pollution and its impact on human health and also the impact on climate change. We should be looking at ways to reduce greenhouse gases not expanding – this won’t help the UK meet its carbon goals. The aircraft will also impact the Chiltern villages and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of the Chilterns. The money doesn’t come back from Luton Borough Council to the areas that are underneath the flight paths. The suggest 2KM zone of influence is totally inadequate given the nature of aircraft flightpaths and how far they stretch. The financial dealings between all the companies involved is very murky. The beneficiaries include a Spanish owned company who manage the site. They paid themselves millions of pounds of dividends in 2020 and 2021, yet Luton Borough council paid £45m to the airport operators. Why should the council shore them up? The DCO proposal was not adequately advertised in our local villages. We are in the direct and low flight path of Luton airport and should have been told by either the council or Luton Rising with a notice through the door.
