Increasing Noise Levels: a. The already intrusive levels of noise experienced by us caused by aircraft taking off over Breachwood Green will be increased in frequency if this application is granted. We have noted, in the last couple of months, an increased proportion of Easterly take offs. b. The noise levels already experienced are severely detrimental to our quality of life. They cause frequent, intermittent disruption to everyday activities: conversations in house and garden, listening to the radio, talking on the phone and most importantly disturbing sleep at night. This situation would be worsened by an increased number of flights. The effect on local roadways: a. Increased passenger numbers and more airport personnel will inevitably result in more congestion on local roads, many of which are narrow country lanes. Environmental effects: a. More flights and increased road traffic will result in increased levels of CO2 emissions and other air pollutants. For these reasons I object to the current proposal for the Luton Airport extension.
