I Object The housing growth around Luton along the flight paths is significant, with the latest Local Councils Housing Plans being adopted. (!00,000 homes are planned for Hertfordshire alone.) Luton airport have a 24hour operating licence and as someone who lives on the flight path, we are aware of planes taking off before 6.00am and with the Summer's heat, windows are opened to cool the house, but allow low flying aircraft noise in. The number of people affected by air traffic noise and pollution is growing all the while. The impact of sleep deprived nights is more and more a dreadful reality. Luton airport is never going to fulfill the needs of passengers and operators. It is a local airport wishing to be something more. Anyone who uses the airport, from travelling to it, and as a passenger, is aware of its many inadequacies.
