I write in relation to London Luton Airport DCO Application and would love to show our support. Luton Airport is an amazing transport hub and its amazing that the airport already supports 16,800 jobs in the regional economy and over 11,800 in Luton. The sustainable long-term growth will deliver a further projected 4,400 new jobs in Luton and 6,100 more in the three counties. We appreciate their commitment to increase modal share for sustainable and active travel to the airport. Transport providers can support through fast and direct train services between London and Luton Airport Parkway, seamless connection on the Luton DART, and a strong network of local and regional bus services. Luton Rising has gone further than any other UK airport to minimise and mitigate the environmental effects of the proposed growth, putting forward a unique Green Controlled Growth framework that will set independently-monitored limits for each of the four main scalable impacts (of noise, carbon emissions, surface access and air quality) beyond which growth cannot take place.
