I fail to see how there is demand for an almost doubling of the current airport passenger capacity. In recent years passenger numbers have declined and in the current economic environment this will continue. Several airlines have gone out of business. Therefore to build a second terminal which will take away green space is ludicrous. I have lived in Luton for all of my (redacted) years so am fully aware of what was previously under Wigmore Valley Park and I'm very concerned about disturbance of the ground there. In my lifetime the steady increase of passenger capacity has increased volume of traffic and this expansion will have a massive impact along with the additional parking required. It is not sustainable to use residential roads for this traffic. We should be reducing our air travel not increasing it. I believe the council has some target they have to reach about net zero, surely this cannot help that I and my wife are keen birdwatchers and dog walkers and we go to the park a few times a week, not being able to do this this will severely impact our well being
