The aircraft noise in south Luton is already annoying. Noise from twice as many flights will be unbearable - especially for people living near the flightline. Triple-glazing doesn't help in the hot weather which will happen more often - when people need to have their windows open. Luton has the worst air pollution in Britain for a town of 224,000 people. Is the cost of breathing complaints taking into account when expansion is discussed?
