Luton Airport expansion is not a sustainable project. It's not in favour of Luton's population. The existing air and noise pollution, not to mention traffic implications, are all important indicators that an expansion of the Airport is inappropriate and inconsiderate of the people and the environment. Investing in a strategic plan to better manage the flow of air travellers, improving public transport and cleaning the air for the local residents should be the priority. Airports and airplanes are not a sustainable option for the present and the future. Luton council should stand up for its people and prioritise their health and safety first.
