In 2012 it was deemed that expansion by 1million people would suffice demand. I cannot understand why this will have changed in an age when flying is so bad for the environment. The increased traffic, noise disruption and pollution is a catastrophic recipe for the future. We are supposed to be looking after this planet for the next generations. Life for locals such as us will be impacted beyond compare, increasing mental health issues through noise, lack of sleep, anxiety etc.
