I have a deep concern for the negative impact the expansion will have. Whilst I understand the need for improvement and development to include further employment, there is a greater need for us to improve and help our environment. 32 million additional passengers only bring further pressure on our already stretched resources and will greatly impact the already high levels of pollution and noise. Noise is a very sensitive subject as it impacts people very negatively both from a mental health element and also on a daily living with various changing flight paths. We are impacted with noise from Luton currently but also Stanstead and frequently Heathrow. Covid showed the world the true impact of what planes are doing to our world. Surely, we should be looking to reduce flights not increase them?
