I object to the proposal due to the following: 1. Huge increase in road traffic accessing the Airport, particularly along east/west routes which are poorly served by public transport. 2. It is totally incompatible with targets for reducing greenhouse gases. 3. Loss of attractive countryside, much of it greenbelt. 4. Airport expansion will increase demadssnd for new housing, placing further pressure on roads, transport and services. It will entail further encroachment on high quality agricultural land, coalescence with small surrounding settlements together with a negative impact on the rural environment.
