London Luton Airport Expansion

I live in Letchworth Garden city......I thought I was far enough away from the noise and disturbances of the planes flying to and from Luton airport. In the last few weeks I have been noticing(and hearing!) more planes during the day flying over my garden and overhead while walking in parks and neighbouring green areas. Admittedly it is not a major disturbance at this point, but when I understood that the Luton Airport is requesting expansion to accommodate almost double the existing number of flights I was greatly alarmed! This would definitely impact our quality of life here in Letchworth(!!)
