I am opposing this development as an individual who already uses LLA frequently . Through previous piecemeal development this airport is massively inefficient already. It appears badly organised and maintained and these strictures will only multiply with enlargement. There is no facility on the inward or outward bound journey that is not overwhelmed by even mildly increased passenger activity . Every point of the airport journey is currently ill thought out and prone to delay, whether daytime or evening. Even with DART, drop off is slow and involves an exposed hike to the terminal. Check in with luggage is hopeless and the automated luggage system frequently unusable. Development will simply multiply the inherent inefficiencies of the overwhelmed passenger services. Development will also bring increased noise , pollution and traffic to the area. The M1 is already frequently blocked at J10 so more LLA traffic will bring more traffic chaos. Enlargement will simply multiply the inherent infrastructural and organisational strictures of this chaotic airport. ( it’s handy to get to Berlin from LLA so it’s not all bad, it’ll just get worse ).
