I do not want the use of Luton Airport to be expanded because the noise from aircraft taking off and landing is already intrusive. This is particularly so in late Spring and Summer when aircraft take off and land in the small hours of the morning, and also from about 5.30 am. In peak season they do so every 3 or 4 minutes. The airport authority seem to think we should cope by having our windows closed but this is not feasible when the weather is hot. They also seem to think that my road, Kingston Road, is too far away to be affected by noise, but as we are at the same level as the airport, sound carries straight across the valley to our houses. Also, the DHL airplane can be particularly noisy and takes off at about 3.30 am.
