UN scientists repeatedly deliver stark warnings about the impact of climate change on people and the planet. Human-induced climate change is causing dangerous and widespread disruption in nature and affecting the lives of billions of people around the world. It is therefore very clear that any applications to increase air passenger numbers, such as at Luton airport, need to be avoided at all costs. Furthermore; 1. There would be a significant increase in noise across a wide area over longer periods with detrimental effects on sleep and health. 2. The massive increase in passenger numbers and delivery haulage would cause major congestion to road and rail services. 3. The proposed location of a new terminal would destroy a County Wildlife site and result in the loss of the green buffer with local housing
