London Luton Airport Expansion

I am very concerned about the increased pollution caused as the result of expanding Luton Airport. Luton is already one of the highest polluted towns of its size in the UK and this is not the way for the issue to be addressed. If we (as a country) have pledged to decrease our carbon emissions over the next 7 years then surely this must include controlling air travel.
