Luton benefited socially and economically from Luton London Airport. As a town we are renowned for having an Airport. The income derived into Luton Council has helped shielded our town from the harshness of central government austerity cuts ,drastically impacting on quality of life not only in service amenities and provisions but also having council taxation rise to businesses and vulnerable members of communities. We are proud to have an Airport, alongside with the University and now our 2023 premiership Football Team boosting wellbeing hallmark and character to our town . I am particularly please over recent years that Luton Rising appears to be addressing inequalities matters in unision with the town launched 2040 strategy of a town build on fairness , eradication of social ills , poverty and the likes . Therefore it’s imperative that we as a town lend our hand and support the Town’s Airport expansion plan for growth and the social good produced and their long team competitiveness . Thought I am mindful of the environmental impact , I also understand that change and progress is enviable in life. You have to ‘crack eggs to produce omelettes ‘ . We need to have a balance view of the ensuring greater social good that impacts on life for the population needs . So important that everyone have their say ,to be pragmatic and where possible add their scrutiny of measures to minimise environmental concerns from a cost benefit’s analysis. I support the growth and expansion plans of Luton London Airport as a good thing for the town prosperity and ought not to impede their continued development and competitiveness with others rivals in the field
