We have lived in Slip End for more than 35 years. While the aircraft that take off and land have become slightly quieter (individually) over the years due to technical development, the noise level and air quality has always been a concern. If the expansion increases the air traffic considerably, that will have an adverse effect on the quality of the air and the noise level. Increase in numbers of people accessing the airport by road, especially the M1 is likely to cause more incidents and queues in an already busy area.
