I object to any expansion at Luton airport. Aviation is a dominant cause of carbon emissions and there is no realistic prospect of this changing through greener fuels. All of the proposed alternative fuels have significant energy or land use impacts and we cannot afford to waste resources on these when there are so many other more important industries that we need to decarbonise instead. The UK should not be developing any further aviation infrastructure until net zero has been achieved.
