I am totally against the airport expansion. I have lived in Cutenhoe Road for over forty years and it has greatly affected our quality of life, mostly being the noise of the planes which seem to be flying even lower than ever before. l have always slept with a bedroom window open but the noise of the planes wakes me up constantly which has had an impact on my health. When we have family gatherings and a plane is overhead all conversation has to stop as you cannot hear each other speak so to have this expansion is going to be unbearable. Working from home has also been affected as you cannot have the windows open due to the noise and having my grandchildren in the garden is not an enjoyable experience for them as the noise of the low flying aircraft makes them scared. Expanding the airport is NOT ACCEPTABLE, as it will have a major impact on the environment causing even more pollution and affect not only the local residents but the whole town. Parking is going to be a nightmare as we already have cars parked outside of the house while people go on holiday, parking is already limited and the airport charges are extortionate. It is also shocking to see on the application the amount of local land that the expansion will be taking from our town; land that could be used for the betterment of the towns residents and not for the profit of the council.
