Increase in pollution levels and noise levels (from the airport) - resulting in a deterioration to local residents health and well being. Eaton Green Road Link breaches the local plan adopted in 2017 The implementation of Dart has cost circa £280m and is now worth circa £77m - no financial control by LBC/Luton Rising. Will Dart ever break even - £281m is a lot of money??? A new airport could end up costing vast amounts more than budget without any great benefit. (see comment on Dart) Huge environmental cost when the goal is to work towards a greener future. Huge increase in traffic as the plan is for enormous car parks and many sets of traffic lights increasing pollution from cars Building on Wigmore Valley Park and providing a replacement a long way from the local residents who are unlikely to use the new facility due to distance. The aircraft noise at times is unbearable particularly in the mornings - not always possible to open windows in summer. The smell of aviation fuel is at times overpowering There are quite a lot of empty buildings around the existing airport, Luton Rising should look to utilize that land before building across huge amounts of green space. There are already plenty of airport around London - is the expansion of Luton really necessary.
