My family have been impacted by the AD6 airspace change, which now routes descending aircraft over our house as often as every 3 minutes, constantly through the day, and is particularly disruptive late at night, and early in the morning - routinely impacting sleep patterns, and disturbing what was previously a very quiet rural area. Luton's own TraVis website shows aircraft periodically descending prematurely below the AD6 8,000 ft base in this area. 'Heatmaps' showing the highest frequency overflight activity clearly demonstrate that the areas now most commonly overflown bear little resemblance to that outlined in the original consultation. Current aircraft flightdeck and ATC approach procedures seem to have little regard for those on the ground, or the time of day or night, and speed-brake deployment [with resulting noise] appears to be increasingly common practice. Any airport expansion will exacerbate current negative experiences, and bring increased externalities in terms of pollution, and sound disturbance to rural communities - with zero economic benefit to those areas and residents on the approach tracks in neighbouring counties.
