Planning for a massive increase in air travel is completely counter to the government's carbon reduction policies. There is no prospect of hydrogen or other non-carbon technologies being available for normal commercial aviation before 2050, and the only sustainable policy is to plan for a progressive reduction in Thanks travel. The planned expansion should be refused.
