I object to the proposals on 2 main grounds: - We are in a climate crisis, for which Air Travel is, and continues to be, a significant contributor. Luton Borough Council declared a Climate Emergency on 13th January 2020. Although the proposals claim to try and make the development 'green', the bottom line is that they are encouraging a significant increase in flying, and consequently greenhouse emissions, that the world simply cannot afford. When we look back on this sort of development in 25 (or less) years time it will be obvious to all that our priorities are totally misplaced. - I live in Tring and we currently have a constant stream of planes over us into / out of Luton, causing a regular background of noise pollution. We, and, those closer to Luton, should not have to endure an increase to the aircraft noise we suffer.
