I have lived in Caddington for over 20 years and was aware of the aircraft . The current amount to aircraft flying over my house has already increased over the 20 years and is already a noise nuisance. Especially at night when we can have many aircraft in quick succession landing after 12 midnight going on for hours. These cause sleep disturbances which impact quality of life. However currently, this is mainly in the summer months. The expansion will see this noise become all year around and relentless. In a world where climate change is real and Luton Council and the are spending significant amounts of money to reduce carbon, it seems incredibly irresponsible and hypocritical that they are looking to increase aircraft, raining pollution into the air and the people below. There are schools directly below the flight path for both landing and taking off and there are many studies and evidence that pollution causes health problems for pupils, there will also be increased road traffic in the area, adding to the problems. The new Dart is not popular and expensive, most people still drive directly to the airport. Luton Airport was never meant to be an international airport and was a simple airstrip. It is in the wrong place as it is.
