Noise Impact of airplanes flying across villages in my South Cambridgeshire ward. This has been introduced by the Airspace Deployment 6 (AD6) introduced by Luton Airport Authority in February 2022. Airplanes are constantly air braking in this area resulting in high pitch noises causing extreme disturbance in a region where there was previously no aircraft noise. The extension of the airport if granted, will result in permanent blight and harm to amenities of many communities. LLA failed in its consultation process and misinformed communities on the potential expected impact. The noise level used in their calculations is for urban areas and is completely inappropriate for rural areas where ambient noise level is lower than urban areas. The planned expansion requires use of AD6, and AD6 is seriously flawed. LLA should provide full information on and noise survey data collected in the area affected by AD6 for examination.
