I am concerned about the proposed expansion of Luton due to the main following points (but with many further issues in play which will be raised as further consultation takes place). - Environmental impact and loss of green space for farming and the future protection of our economy from having to rely on imports - Noise pollution - I was not previously impacted by the Luton air flight path until the recent change in stacking which was brought in and not well consulted in 2021 due to the pandemic. It has had a negative personal impact as I have sleep deprivation due to the late night and early morning flights “braking” over my house. I actually used to live in Harpenden and sold my house to move to a rural area to get away from Luton air traffic and it has now caught back up with me! - Climate change. How do we get to carbon neutral by increasing air travel - there will be no respite in noise as the flights in and out will be constant with expansion - increase in aviation fuel pollution - increase in anxiety. I am a keen gardener and use being outside for mental well being. This has been completely destroyed as whenever I go outside I am joined by aircraft to join in the gardening activities which causes me anger and distress. - The consultation in the change of flight paths was poorly conducted and miscommunicated. - Has this been consulted with all other airports for the overall air strategy for the UK and what is most beneficial for the environment and efficiency?
