Air pollution in the area is already extremely high expansion will only increase this. My children suffer from nose bleeds which we have linked with increased air traffic. Pollution is my biggest concern as aircraft burn an extremely high amount of fossil fuel. Aviation gas emits 18.3 pounds (lb) and jet fuel 21.1 lb of CO2 per gallon combusted, and flying one mile on average emits 53 pounds of CO2. It directly contributes to climate change and has various negative environmental effects. Noise pollution is also very high with the airport constantly operating outside of the permitted times and disrupting sleep, this too will increase with the expansion.
