Main Issues of Impact for the local people of Wigmore: Major traffic Issues of Wigmore Road and surrounding roads especially at peak times. Pollution from cars going to airport and pollution from more aircraft flying. We are meant to be reducing carbon emissions to try and save the planet - why does Luton need a bigger airport? Noise - This will increase tenfold despite any promises made. Destroying Wigmore Park and green space. This space is needed for the wellbeing of its residents. The council want to build on every bit of green in the Wigmore area. They do not listen to what the residents require. We do not need such an expansion of the airport with Heathrow and Stansted so near.
