I object to any further expansion of the airport, especially as the conditions for the original expansion have not been met. 1. Many aircraft already fly along the Kimpton valley, and to the north, outside of the recommended route. Any increase in flights will increase the noise level over our community even further. 2. Early morning noisy freight flights will increase whenever there is any disruption to passenger schedules. 3. Most roads to the south of the airport are country lanes, and unsuitable for more traffic. 4. A near doubling of passenger numbers will put added strain on clean water supply - which is already depleting the aquifers, damaging local chalk streams. It will also increase the likelihood of sewage release into the River Lea.
