Noise levels over Stevenage and in particular the town centre and the North of the Chells area, will become intolerable. From my research I conclude that the measurements taken to date are flawed Noise levels over areas of Stevenage will be intolerable due to the increased volume of flights. I understand eventually up to one flight per minute may pass overhead at peak times. From my research I conclude the consultants measurement of noise levels in Stevenage used in the study/proposals is not fit for purpose. In particular l understand readings were not taken directly under the flight path. With regard to this, my particular concern being that no readings were taken actually in Stevenage town centre and it's direct environs. If I am correct I cannot see why this was not done as it is directly under the main flight path and is densely populated. The town centre is currently being redeveloped with thousands of new flats having received planning approval. The flight path is concentrated over a narrow area compounding the problem. Whilst I understand that the flight path is determined by the civil aviation authority the enquiry will I hope consider this. The proposals seem to disproportionately focus on Luton. My understanding is that if the expansion takes place there are no proposals for funding noise mitigation measures in Stevenage for the worst impacted area. I further understand the proposals for possible financial support are limited to the area just to the Luton side of the A1M motorway (at the eastern edge of Stevenage (which is predominantly farm land to this point)
