Dear Sir I note your intention to have site visits in September. I would respectfully request that these visits are carried out prior to the preparatory works of which EDF have already secured planning permission. I feel that you should see the land before it is decimated so that you can fully appreciate the sacrifice that the Parish of Stogursey and in particular the hamlets of Burton, Knighton, Shurton and Wick are going to suffer.

On another issue at the first meeting introducing the community to the workings of the IPC and the registration process we were strongly advised to only register one person in each household. This we were assured would not lessen our impact. Now I find that only I can attend or contribute to the ongoing process and it would seem that you are not going to receive the full feedback from the community or indeed the strength

In regard to your point about the strength of community feedback, one registration per household should not lessen the impact of your household?s views. The IPC is aware that many people may choose this option or express their views as part of a single organisation, such as a local amenity group. The Examining Authority will place the relevant weight on such submissions in their examination of the application.

You are welcome to inform the Examining Authority as part of any expanded written representation that the views you have expressed represent those of yourself and your wider household.

As the Preliminary Meeting is a meeting held in public it is open to non-interested parties, such as the rest of your household, to attend, subject to the venue's capacity and the numbers present. Interested parties will get priority in terms of seating, but we will try and be as inclusive as possible to all those who wish to participate.
