In supporting the representations made by SASES my particular concern is the impact of road traffic and the despoiling of a rural area. The roads in Suffolk Coastal area are not designed for heavy goods vehicles. The number of crashes on the bend of the A12 at Farnham demonstrate this. The impact of large lorries meeting each other on these narrow roads in horrific. In this area of Suffolk the quality of life is excellent for people of all ages, so that many people escaping the downsides of city life choose this area in which to settle. Why ruin an area, when there are already areas that are more industrialised that could be used - Sizewell, Ipswich, Lowestoft. I have seen the excavations further south to bring power in to a sub station north of Ipswich. I do not see why an additional route via Friston is required, when the two schemes could be linked.
