The proposed development is not part of a strategic plan for the generation of renewable power for the UK. It does not take into account the huge environmental impact which its construction will entail and it is illogical to argue the environmental benefits of renewable energy sources when the putting in place of the infrastructure will cause such massive devastation. In addition, the social consequences of the proposed development will be significant; this part of Suffolk depends almost entirely on tourism for its income and the extended time period for the building of this project will have a catastrophic impact on the whole area, from which it is unlikely to recover. The location and the direction of the prevailing wind will mean that all the dust and contaminates will be deposited along the Suffolk Coast AONB, with a very negative effect on wildlife and plants, not to mention the thousands of people who inhabit the area.
