The proposed site is completely unsuitable for this huge development being very close to a very attractive and peaceful village within beautiful and productive landscape. The grade 2* church is one of the closest buildings to the proposed area, with 3 grade 2 thatched cottages adjacent to it. There is a windmill and millers houses in the center with the potential to be developed into a significant tourist attraction. The considerable distance from the coast means large trenches being excavated close to several other villages. This major disruption will continue for years. The rural small roads are totally unsuitable for access by heavy industrial traffic. Noise will be a continual factor. I wear hearing aids (as do several other villagers) which will be badly affected. Flooding of Friston is already a problem which will be made worse by the concreting of a large area. The quality of life for the population of Friston (many are elderly) will be destroyed. The village has a considerable number of holiday properties. Tourism, which is a major constituent of local prosperity will be destroyed. Property prices will be decimated causing considerable hardship and problems selling. There are many more projects " in the wings" Suffolk's appeal will be destroyed. There is already technology in existence to allow offshore connections to be made. These would preserve the charming Suffolk countryside and major tourist industry. Other countries adjacent to the North sea are already using them.
