I wish to object to both projects owing to their impact on the wildlife, AONB & Suffolk Sandlings Special Landscape Area, the ensuing light, noise and air pollution. The impact of the traffic during and after the construction period will swamp the existing road structure, have a negative impact on our important tourist industry and the movements of local residents such as myself. This project should not be treated as a purely economic exercise; the loss of irreplaceable landscape and permanent damage to the historic landscape cannot be offset by money and there are better brownfield sites on the East Anglian coastline e.g. Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth where there is high unemployment and economic despression and where there would be far less impact on the natural environment. There is also the option of other types of connections. The long term implications of this project have been ignored and the application site ill-conceived for the above reasons. Information has been incomplete and there has been insufficient liaison between EDF & SPR to assess cumulative impacts.
