This is on of up to 7 known energy projects over 12 to 15 years and I am concerned about the snowball effect Thorpeness Cliffs are sensitive and totally unsuitable for this amount of disruption A substation complexof this size is totally inappropriate for this rural setting and its community and I am concerned about this impact on many levels - e.g. flood risk, impact on environment of traffic, light pollution, noise, congestion, risk of accidents for walkers, cyclists, horse riders etc. Severing the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB causing problems to migrating species and severing the wildlife corridor Destruction of ancient woodland The Local road network is completely unsuitable for the high traffic levels and more HGVs. We are already experiencing a lot of increased traffic and problems associated. Suffolk is quick to shut down if there is a small problem now Light pollution. Suffolk’s famous dark skies are an important aspect of life here - to residents and visitors alike Noise pollution. Suffolk’s famous peace and tranquillity lost, as per light Air pollution from traffic and trenches dug through Suffolk’s light sandy soil which blows/runs away, causing visibility hazard and health issues In event of a Nuclear incident the evacuation routes would be severely hampered. Impact on tourism is a major concern. DMO report says traffic congestion and related issues would deter tourists from coming to the area. Tourism is a strategically vital driver of our economy. I am concerned about loss of trade, visitor income, jobs leading to social and economic decline Permanent and temporary closure of PRoWs (footpaths, bridleways, byways and cycle paths) - these are very important part of sustaining our county and enabling it to offer a quality of life which people rightly expect here.
