The substations are dangerously close to the village of Friston which will be dominated by the huge buildings. It is also prone to flooding. The substations are in a beautiful part of suffolk and crises crossed with footpaths that will be destroyed or lose their appeal. These PRoWs will be permanently closed or temporarily closed during construction. Ancient woodland will be destroyed. The local roads are unsuitable for a construction of the enormity in this part of rural suffolk, and cannot cope with the number or size of vehicles that will will be used. There is a culmulative effect on our local community of up to 7 energy projects during the next 12/15 years.
