I wish to object to the Scottish Power Renewables planning application East Anglia north one ( and East Anglia Two) I live locally to this planned development of up to 7 energy projects to be developed consecutively over 12-15 years will have a major cumulative impact on our local communities . The impact on our unspoilt countryside of this massive development , will have a very damaging effect on wildlife and the country side , the cliffs at Thorpness which are fragile and prone to subsidence and falls yet they are being considered to land cables and the development will spoil the lovely village of Friston if a major substation as big as Wembley Station is built close bye. The proposed concrete used to build the substation will deflect the water course giving rise to localised flooding. We live in a very important part of the country for Wildlife, plants and Tourism , the cable trenches will destroy environmentally sensitive areas, destroying ancient woodland and will be a major threat to wildlife locally particularly at Sandlings Heath. This is a peaceful part of the world with small communities and very few major roads, our local network of roads is unsuitable for anticipated high traffic levels and heavy Traffic with many HGV loads per day for 10-12 years .This massive increase in road traffic will be a danger to cyclists and local residents , will delay our emergency Services in getting to our local people with Inevitable delays endangering lives and in the event of a Nuclear incident the evacuation routes would be severely hampered. There would be very significantly increased Noise and Air and Light pollution, destroying the peace and tranquillity of the area,Suffolks famous dark skies would be lost, air pollution from the effect on the soil and from the fumes from the traffic. The building of this massive site would have a major impact on Tourism a major employer locally , would have an impact on businesses , loss of trade ,fewer visitors reduced income leading to social and economic decline in the area. For all the above reasons please reject this development and re-consider whether there is an need for this development and place it ,in a less sensitive area.
