I am disturbed that the government would condone such actions to a local area. I have business in Aldeburgh High Street, and I believe this will be devastating to the local economy and countryside. It's a beautiful area that will be spoilt by 100,000's trucks, diggers. The concreted substation will cause more flooding to local people as the rain water will run off it. We need to be protecting people and animals in areas of beauty, not destroying them. I ask, how will ambulances and other emergency services get through our small roads with these trucks on there? Lives will be at risk. Our roads cannot hold such a level of construction and nor should it. We do not want straightened and larger roads. Local people are being ignored and its not right.
