I am writing to express serious concern over the siting of the substation for the EA1N wind farm that is now located near Friston. In the slide show of the selection process the sites adjacent to Sizewell power station and the substation for the Greater Gabbard wind farm and its future extension were quickly rejected after a RAG assessment presumably because of the existence of a SSSI area. In the engineer's summary of the RAG methodology it states that "It should be noted that if a site is awarded a Red score, this will not necessarily prevent an option being taken forward as preferred into the next stage if, overall, it performs better than others. Ian Liddell CBE FREng I cannot understand why that location continues to be considered in view of the damage to the 9 Kms of land including some SSSI areas that will be heavily damaged by the digging of the cable trenches to get the power from the landfall point to the proposed substation. There is also numerous concerns from the local residents over the amount of damage and disturbance that will be caused by the construction and installation of the new substation and grid connection by plant using the local roads through the village. The road to Sizewell has already been up graded to take these type of loads. I note that the
