The beautiful landscape and long established local communities from Thorpness through to Aldringham, Knodishall and Friston are unique and irreplaceable. I object very strongly to these ill-conceived plans which will destroy so much. I strongly support offshore wind energy. But these plans for the onshore transmission infrastructure would destroy the Heritage Coast and it’s tourist economy. Brownfield sites, offshore hubs and ringmains present much better, alternative solutions. There are many alternative solutions that need to be considered urgently.
