I am writing as yet another concerned resident from Friston area. I am aware you think us local residents are uneducated and our opinions laughable, however, I would be grateful if you read this representation in its entirety. I have lived here since birth an area chosen by my parents as a place of peace, tranquility and unspoiled environment. Living close to fields has made it easy to exercise our dogs and enjoy the wildlife. We are living in an age where every other piece of land is having a compulsory purchase order placed on it and new builds are put up all over our beautiful landscape. I plead with you to use the infrastructure currently in place at sizewell to complete your "project". Our area is full of wildlife, turtle doves were here this year, the starling numeration frequently visits and the loss of the oak wood in Friston is actually disgusting, how could a company so into their "green energy" possibly have the audacity and ignorance to remove such a vital part of the green space for our wildlife, It is truly baffling. The hedge cutting executed I assume by people at your disposal was a mess, thorns everywhere, not an enjoyable dog walk when you end up caked in mud and plucking thorns out of your poor dogs feet every 5 seconds. Furthermore, colleagues of yours have been splattered about our local towns trying to get people to believe their stories. Two members of my family have been spoken to rudely demanding why they didn't want this offshore work to happen. I'm afraid if you laugh at general public who disagree with your policy, word spreads very quickly in small communities. Sniggering at local people who travel by bike because they can in a remote area also for a "green" company is not smart, is it? Our walks and wildlife are going to be taken away from us because of you meaning dog walkers will have to travel by car to walk dogs somewhere unspoilt contributing to carbon emissions every time (that's twice a day) counteracting any good you did by ruining our landscape. Your team keep making very poor mistakes with their terrible customer service, something I think should be a focus for your company considering undertaking a largely opposed project. Could do with briefing especially the ones who were in saxmundham, very poor attitude.. So excuse us if we are not overjoyed by your project, but you need to rectify the way your are speaking to local people who are thoroughly aware you are paying your way to achieve your goals rather than winning on merit and your advertisements.
