  1. [Redacted] was purchased by myself in October 2017. At that time there was no planning application by Scottish Power Renewables that could be discovered in the Searches relevant to my new property. Had I known that the immediate Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in which I now live was going to be decimated by the activities of Scottish Power Renewables, I would not have purchased the property in the first place. Having downsized to this smaller property, I was looking forward to spending my retirement in a peaceful and restful environment in a property that would eventually pay for care in old age. I now find that this will be far from reality and am now living with the daily stress of knowing that my plans have failed completely through no fault of my own. 2) For many years now, the County of Suffolk has worked ceaselessly to create a vibrant and successful tourist industry for the well-being of inhabitants, trade and visitors. There is a very good level of employment and income from all those facets of a thriving tourist industry. East Suffolk does not need and would not benefit from the massive amount of disruption that Scottish Power Renewables will create with the work they envisage. 3) The East Suffolk coastline, especially in the area designated for the onshore delivery of cabling is extremely fragile and disappearing at an alarming rate. Further man-made disruption will only add to this problem, including the disturbance of the sea bed. 4) The road system in this coastal area is totally unsuitable for the amount of heavy traffic movements that would be involved in construction of the proposed sub-station at Friston which is a small, historic village situated within valuable agricultural land. The roads involved are mainly B and C roads and nowhere wide enough or strong enough to withstand the weight and volume of the intended traffic movements. Our roads are already peppered with a massive amount of potholes which the Suffolk County Council are unable to deal with. Who will pay for all the road improvements and widening that will be required by Scottish Power Renewables. 5) Who has the right to completely ruin our beautiful environment with such a monstrosity, especially as the company responsible is Spanish and the power produced will be for Countries other than the British Isles. 6) Instead of creating innumerable similar disruptions across one of the most beautiful parts of Britain, use an offshore ring-main, similar to the way in which the Dutch deal with the issue.
