Dear Sir/Madam, Scottish Power's planned substation at Friston is an act of vandalism on our precious countryside. It will destroy the lives of most people living in this area particularily the elderly. There are sensible alternative solutions in choosing brownfield sites or offshore hubs and ring mains. Please don't destroy a very special unique bit of countryside with its rivers, unspoilt coastal paths, musical heritage, fishing communities and thriving tourist industry. Please consider the alternatives. We can work together on this and bring wind power ashore to our country without the horrifying destruction of it you are considering.
