Re: EAST ANGLIA NORTH ONE The Scottish Power Renewables planning application must be challenged and my primary objections are outlined below. - The overall effect of this and the other 6 proposed "Energy Projects", lasting 15 years, in his region will adversely affect the local communities. - Siting enormous Substations in the unspoiled countryside will be devastating. - Substations will be dangerously close to Friston, a village susceptible to flooding. - The massive cable trenches would destroy sensitive environments that cannot be replaced. - These trenches would also affect residential areas. - The Coastline is geologically unsuited to landing cables especially the fragile Thorpness Cliffs. - Environmentally important Sandlings Heath area will be badly affected, threatening wildlife. - Ancient woodland would be destroyed. - It will damage forever the AONB and the Heaths which migrating species rely upon. - Light and Noise pollution will damage the peace and tranquillity of the region. - Road infrastructure and country lanes are not suitable for the construction HGVs. - Air pollution from increased Vehicles and construction will blight the County. - Traffic increase will be dangerous for residents, visitors, especially cyclists. And for the Emergency services. - Massive negative impact on Tourism. - Resultant negative impact on Tourist Industry, losing trade, revenue and jobs in the region. - In event of a Nuclear incident evacuation would be severely affected.
