I reside in [Redacted], Friston. I fully endorse the extensive range of key issues raised and representations made by SASES, Friston Parish Council and the many affected parties who object to the development proposed by Scottish Power. All of these issues affect me both directly and indirectly. I am strongly and directly affected by the many issues of noise, light and dust pollution, harm to nature, the landscape, footpaths and rights of way. More specifically, [Redacted] will be extensively affected by noise, pollution and danger from increased levels of traffic passing along [Redacted] and through the village of Friston in general. Regarding the substation itself, I am concerned about the issue of ‘Tonality’ but, in addition, the issues raised by SASES have not covered the matter of very loud bangs that will occur in the Gas Insulated Switch Gear that can be switched any time of day or night for operation, maintenance or by tripping. In summary, I do not believe that the objections of the parties affected have been properly taken into consideration in some extremely important areas that cannot be mitigated in any way.
