Whilst I am in favour of windfarms, the construction of this one means the supporting substation is planned to be situated in an area that impacts on the community of Friston and the surrounding villages in terms of traffic noise and destruction of the natural environment in an area from Thorpness to Friston that is a natural habitat to often endangered wildlife. No consideration has been taken to alternative locations which would have less impact on the quality of life of coastal communities in the area and the natural environment they are located in. In addition, tourism is an important source of employment and these substations will be a major deterrent to tourists in the region.
